Guru Koppa

Koppa has steered, coordinated, and overseen several multidisciplinary projects from inception to completion that deal directly with policy formulation and seeking end-to-end solutions approach for building capacities in addition to deepening the Institute’s expertise. He has worked in association with national and international organizations (State Agriculture University, NDDB, IWMI, AKDN Kenya, ICRISAT, FAO, GIZ India, IFAD BCI, Geneva and Grameen Foundation) dealing with all aspects of project management, from a detailed plan of work and budgeting, performance reviews and technical assistance, and M&E including impact evaluation, coordinating directly with various stakeholders including senior policymakers and donors.

Koppa recently managed three multistakeholder sustainable agriculture projects and teams to Strengthen FPOs’ capacity to connect smallholder farmers, especially women, to markets and finance, in order to improve farmers' incomes and resilience. Prior to that role, he was the Sr. M & E Coordinator (Global), overseeing Research and Evaluation as part of Monitoring and Evaluation in 24 countries of Better Cotton Initiatives (BCI) operations.

He holds a Ph.D.in rural management, specializing in institutional evolution and impacts on the development of major irrigation command.

Koppa started working with TNC in 2021 and is based in New Delhi.
