New Funding Announced to Support Advanced Nutrient Management in Chesapeake Watershed
Press Release | September 21, 2020
Mid-Atlantic 4R Association announces a grant award of nearly $1 million dollar over 3-years from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) to increase advanced nutrient management practices on farms in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland. The grant will support TNC and our agribusiness partners to identify opportunities for advanced practices on at least 30,000 acres by engaging over 300 individual farmers. Mid-Atlantic 4R is a partnership of agribusinesses, researchers, government agencies, and conservation groups (including TNC) that work with local farmers to ensure that they are managing their nutrients to help ensure cleaner local rivers and a healthier Chesapeake Bay.

For fifty-three years, the LWCF has provided billions for conservation projects with the monies split between the Federal agencies and the states.
