Teaming Up With Back to Nature

Supporting TNC's Plant a Billion Trees Program

Trees are vital. As the biggest plants on the planet, trees give us oxygen, store carbon, give life to the world’s wildlife and much more. They also provide us with the materials for tools and shelter.

Committed to helping restore and protect one of Earth’s most precious resources, Back to Nature, a popular brand of plant-based snacks, is teaming up with The Nature Conservancy to support its Plant a Billion Trees campaign – a tree planting initiative with a goal of planting a billion trees across the planet. To date, Plant a Billion Trees has planted more than 84 million trees globally and is restoring U.S. forests across nine states.

Back To Nature Supports Reforestation

The U.S. is home to some of the world’s oldest and tallest trees. With a $200,000 commitment from Back to Nature to support TNC’s reforestation efforts, Plant a Billion Trees is planting at sites spanning the country including the Upper Great Lakes and the Eastern Seaboard.

Most recently, Back to Nature celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2020 and helped in replanting the sandhill and longleaf pine forests of TNC’s Apalachicola Bluffs and Ravines Preserve in Florida.

Helping People See The Benefits of Forests

In addition to participating in tree planting events and supporting larger reforestation efforts, Back to Nature is helping to grow consumer awareness on the importance of trees and the benefits they provide to people and the planet by providing visibility via product packaging and in retail promotions.
