Beth Wheatley

Beth Wheatley is the Deputy Director of The Nature Conservancy’s North America Climate Mitigation Program. In this role, she leads teams to advance renewable energy deployment and state climate and energy policy with the organization’s 50 state chapters. 

She previously served as The Nature Conservancy’s Director of External Affairs & Strategic Initiatives in West Virginia and as the external affairs lead for the organization’s Central Appalachian Program. In these roles, Wheatley led state and federal policy efforts and initiated and led work at the intersection of nature, climate, and people. She focused on working with diverse interests to co-develop the projects, policies, practices and partnerships to contribute to an equitable low carbon future.
